Janice Calnan, M.Ed., RHB

Counselor, Teacher, Master Facilitator and Author, Janice specializes in helping professionals learn first how to change themselves. She is a highly intuitive individual who knows that people, working in synergy, can improve their personal life, their corporate culture and their business opportunities. They learn to change their thinking, their communication and how to lead their people. Without exception, these seemingly invisible changes bring improvements in productivity, innovation, human interaction, quality and commitment, all of which positively impact profit and success.

Janice holds a Masters Degree from McGill University in Montreal. In 1990 she designed The Leadership Practicum (now called LeaderSHIFT© ) implemented by leadership teams in Fortune 100 and 500 companies and many smaller organizations. LeaderSHIFT© teaches leaders, executives, managers and subject matter experts to use authentic collaboration to expand their leadership skills while using their organization as a field of practice. They transform their culture so that it becomes increasingly more effective.

Janice was trained directly by leading figures of our time including W. Edwards Deming, Total Quality pioneer, Kathie Dannemiller Whole Scale© Change, Ron Lippitt, co-founder NTL and Jean Houston, Mystery School. Janice’s earlier experience as a pediatric nursing instructor in neurosurgery and cardiovascular surgery and as a professional counselor brings an unusual and positive perspective to organizations. Her knowledge of human change and her demonstrated record in executive development and cultural transformation attracts ‘green light’ professionals who want to increase the leadership competencies of ALL their people. Her expertise in non-traditional thinking is used by creative people in leadership roles who want to expand the soul of their organization.

Her first book SHIFT: secrets of positive change for organizations and their leaders, teaches readers how to change by first recognizing how they contribute to their situation. Without exception, their intention along with new insights about how to lead their people allows them to make positive, purposeful moves forward. SHIFT is now published by the Russian Society for Quality.
